In the Island of Mauritius we come to find an interesting creature named as the flying fox. This interesting and rare animal has a wing-span of 2.5 feet and has a fox like face. Native only to this tiny island, the Mauritius flying fox (Pteropus niger) has been described as “flying liquid gold” after its yellow fur. The Mauritius flying fox provide crucial benefits to ecosystems, such as pollinating flowers and dispersing seeds of many plant species. Now, Mauritius's government is in the process of killing of 18,000 on the unsupported belief that they are causing major damage to lychee and mango fruit crops, which are a main driver of the country's economy. Because the flying bats help forests and they are not as bad as ever body thinks people should help stop the killing. Moreover, the killing of these animals is inhumane and should be prevented.
