Because many of the crops that farmers in the central valley are not working they're are now recently recurring to the installation of solar panels. The drought has impacted farmers very hard and state laws are pushing for the implementation of clean and renewable energy by 2030 and since farmers are the only with enough land they are focusing they're attention to them. According to new research the majority of California's solar panels stand on the pastures and crop lands of farmers. A benefit to the solar panels is that farmers can still plant other crops.
