According to NASA the sea level will rise more than expected. Scientists have deduced that due to global warming the ocean is being fed by melted glaciers, causing a rise on the sea level. It is said that on average the sea level has increased 8 inches more than the last century. It is estimated that in the next centuries the sea level will rise so dramatically that the world's coasts will be completely transformed. As stated by Eric Rignot, “With future warming, we may lock ourselves into multiple-meter sea level rise” over the coming centuries. Furthermore, scientists have developed important tools in order to try to solve the problem in the rise n se level. Although the sea level is rising, in some regions the level has fell due to natural fluctuations. It is still unknown how fast the sea level will continue to rise, but scientists and researchers are working to solve this problem. For instance, a researcher has proposed a new 5 year plan that will explore the climate changes in the world. Josh Willis, a JPL oceanographer who is leading the project, said the new NASA mission may help scientists better understand what happens when warm ocean water laps against the bottoms of Greenland's glaciers ( National Geographic ).
