One of the most bizarre frogs to have ever lived has been rediscovered in India after 150 years. This frog breeds and nests inside trees. It lays eggs for its tadpoles to eat. Moreover, this frog eats plants and was rediscovered inside a bamboo while carrying its eggs. The frogs DNA has shown an odd feeding behavior that demonstrates that this frog has evolved from the other tree frogs. Furthermore, in India and China there has been a second discovery that may be seemingly related to the Frankixalus genus.
